Our office also invites you and your parents to the Arizona Capitol Museum for
an exhibit of our state symbols! Fifteen state symbols represent
Arizona's environment, society and economy. Since the Great Seal
was chosen in 1911, the state Legislature has recognized everything
from a state flower to a state fossil. The latest symbol to be
added was the state butterfly in 2001.
The museum is located in the old capitol in downtown Phoenix,
1700 W. Washington Street. They are open Monday through Friday
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information call (602) 926-3620.
